Curved bay shutters that follow the curve
A curved or bow bay has no corners for a curtain track to sit in. We make shutters for each window round the curve, so the bay keeps its shape and its light.

Why fit shutters to a bow window
A curved bay, or bow window, is four or more windows set in a smooth arc. It brings in light from several directions and gives you extra floor space, but off-the-shelf blinds and curtains do not suit the shape. We measure each window round the curve and make the shutters to fit.
Fitting to a curve takes care, so we do the measuring, making and fitting ourselves, with our own team. Full height, café style and tier-on-tier all work in a curved bay, and you can tilt the louvres to cut glare and keep the sun off your furniture.
Each window fitted
Every window round the curve gets its own panels, sized to that opening.
Less sun on your furniture
Tilt the louvres to cut glare and keep strong sun off your furniture.
Privacy at the front
Bays face the street, so tilt the louvres to keep people from seeing in while the room stays bright.

What are curved bay shutters?
Shutters made for a curved bay or bow window. Each window round the curve gets its own panels, made to fit, so the bay keeps its shape and you control the light and privacy.
What is the difference between a curved bay and an angled bay?
An angled bay has distinct corners. A curved bay, or bow window, has four or more windows set in a smooth arc. Both take shutters, made to fit each window.
Which styles suit a curved bay?
Full height, tier-on-tier, café style and solid panel shutters all work. Full height gives a clean, even look, café keeps the top clear, and tier-on-tier lets you open the top and keep the bottom shut.
Will shutters fit a curved bay?
Yes. We measure every window in the curve and make the shutters to those sizes. Our own team fits them, and they work with the person who measured, so nothing gets lost along the way.
Do they suit a period home?
Yes. Curved bay shutters are popular in Victorian, Edwardian and other period homes. They suit the original details and give you control of light and privacy at the front of the house.
Will they keep the room warmer?
They help. The shutters add an insulating layer across the glass, which keeps more warmth in during the winter and holds back some of the summer heat.
How do I clean them?
Dust them now and then and wipe them with a soft, damp cloth. Unlike fabric curtains, they do not collect dust or need taking down to wash.
